Asunción, Agencia IP.- The President of the Republic, Santiago Peña, approved the Credit Carbon Law. «Through it, it will be possible to access resources by conserving the environment», he said.
The Head of State announced it today on his social media. It highlighted that through this law, «our country will access resources by conserving our environment».
In a video shared by the President, it is reminded that the forests capture the carbon issued to the atmosphere. They help to mitigate the climatic impact, which is why the ones that conserve and protect the forests can receive profits. «This way, our country receives income and conserves its forests, contributing to having a cleaner world», states the message.
In that sense, the Minister of Environment, Rolando de Barros, assured that this law is a transcendental milestone because it brings innovation and advances related to sustainability policy.
De Barros mentioned that the Credit Carbon Law will considerably contribute to the growth and development of the country. «We can have a double impact by conserving and managing sustainably our resources and generating incomes for our production systems», he pointed out.
He added, «We are part of the few countries that count on a tool like this one, that contributes directly to the conservation, protection and management of natural resources, and that Paraguay can develop in balance with nature».
