Asunción, Agencia IP.- The cooperation between institutions aims to simplify and speed up the repatriation processes by digitalizing its procedures, highlighted by the Minister of the Secretariat of Repatriates (Sederrec, by its acronym in Spanish), Edgar Ruiz.
“This initiative will revolutionize how our compatriots carry out procedures upon returning to the country. All the needed procedures will be 100% digital, saving time for the public and the institution, considerably decreasing deadlines”, he explained during an interview with the TV Program Tribuna, broadcasted by Paraguay TV.
This action line indicates that the President of the Republic will allow fellow citizens to access all needed procedures for their regulation faster and easier.
“Many fellow citizens return to the country with academic diplomas and valuable abilities. Thanks to this digitalization, they will be able to make their credentials available to local companies more efficiently, promoting their employability and contributing to the country’s development,» he added.
The Minister mentioned that eight out of ten procedures offered by the Secretariat of Repatriates are already digitalized in Portal Paraguay, a platform developed by the Ministry of Technologies of Information and Communications (Mitic, by its acronym in Spanish). The two procedures that still need to be added to the platform will be worked on in the upcoming weeks to make them available to fellow citizens.
Digitalizing the Sederrec procedures is an essential step towards a more modern and efficient government, where technology becomes an ally to provide better service to fellow citizens. These advances promise to facilitate the repatriation and refugee process while promoting the inclusion and growth of those returning to Paraguay.
