justify;\">El proyecto de ley migratoria del presidente de Estados Unidos, Joe Biden, que busca crear un mecanismo para la regularizaci\u00f3n de unos 11 millones de personas, empezar\u00e1 este jueves su tr\u00e1mite legislativo, informaron funcionarios de la Casa Blanca.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00abEste fue un compromiso desde el primer d\u00eda para el presidente y es su visi\u00f3n de lo que es necesario hacer para arreglar el sistema\u00bb, sostuvo un funcionario de alto rango del Gobierno en declaraciones a periodistas antes de la presentaci\u00f3n del proyecto.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La iniciativa ser\u00e1 presentada en detalle por los legisladores dem\u00f3cratas Linda S\u00e1nchez, en la C\u00e1mara de Representantes, y Bob Men\u00e9ndez, en el Senado, inform\u00f3 la agencia de noticias AFP.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El proyecto busca crear una v\u00eda para la ciudadan\u00eda de alrededor de 11 millones de personas, con la condici\u00f3n de que est\u00e9n en Estados Unidos desde antes del 1\u00b0 de enero de 2021.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Uno de los grupos beneficiados por esta legislaci\u00f3n son los denominados \u00abdreamers\u00bb, j\u00f3venes que llegaron a Estados Unidos de forma irregular junto a sus padres siendo menores de edad, que podr\u00e1n acceder a la residencia permanente.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Durante el Gobierno de Barack Obama, este grupo de cerca de 700.000 j\u00f3venes -la mayor\u00eda de origen latinoamericano- fueron beneficiados por un estatuto de protecci\u00f3n, que su sucesor, Donald Trump, intent\u00f3 cancelar en una pugna judicial que lleg\u00f3 hasta la Corte Suprema.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tambi\u00e9n podr\u00e1n acceder a la residencia permanente las personas beneficiadas por el Estatus de Protecci\u00f3n Temporal (TPS), que impide la deportaci\u00f3n de ciudadanos de pa\u00edses afectados por desastres naturales o conflictos armados y los trabajadores agr\u00edcolas que puedan demostrar un historia de empleo en Estados Unidos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Para Biden, \u00abesta es una oportunidad de reiniciar el debate sobre una reforma migratoria despu\u00e9s de los cuatro \u00faltimos a\u00f1os\u00bb, agreg\u00f3 el funcionario bajo condici\u00f3n de anonimato.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El Gobierno de Trump emiti\u00f3 m\u00e1s de 400 decretos para frenar la inmigraci\u00f3n y castigar a los indocumentados.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Desde que lleg\u00f3 al poder, el dem\u00f3crata Biden anunci\u00f3 un giro en la pol\u00edtica migratoria que incluy\u00f3 la creaci\u00f3n de un contingente para de sus casos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El funcionario destac\u00f3 que la ley cambia el t\u00e9rmino en ingl\u00e9s \u00abalien\u00bb para referirse a los extranjeros, por la
