Desde el 2021 al 2022 se registra un aumento de nuevos diagn\u00f3sticos de VIH, de 26,48% en comparaci\u00f3n al periodo 2020.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Del 2018 al 2019 el porcentaje de nuevos diagn\u00f3sticos ascendi\u00f3 de 1564 a 1605 (2.62%); posteriormente se experiment\u00f3 un descenso de 25% en el n\u00famero de personas diagnosticadas en el a\u00f1o 2020. Sin embargo, desde el 2021 al 2022 se registra un aumento de nuevos diagn\u00f3sticos de VIH, de 26,48% en comparaci\u00f3n al periodo 2020.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En el 2022 se identificaron 1.519 nuevos diagn\u00f3sticos de VIH, de los cuales 495 fueron categorizadas como sida, se\u00f1ala el informe sobre la situaci\u00f3n epidemiol\u00f3gica del VIH en Paraguay, del Programa Nacional de Control del VIH\/Sida\/ITS (Pronasida).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Un alto porcentaje de los nuevos diagn\u00f3sticos registrados en el pa\u00eds se detect\u00f3 en poblaci\u00f3n general (58,66%), tambi\u00e9n en hombres que tienen sexo con hombres (32,19%) y en embarazadas (6,91%). En cambio, se evidencia menor proporci\u00f3n de nuevos diagn\u00f3sticos en personas privadas de libertad (0,20%), en mujeres trabajadoras sexuales (0,20%), en usuarios de drogas (0,33%) y en poblaci\u00f3n trans (0,99%).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La mayor tasa de nuevos diagn\u00f3sticos se localiza en Capital (57,21%), seguido de Amambay, Misiones, Central y Concepci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>La mitad tiene entre 20 y 34 a\u00f1os<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">De acuerdo al informe, el 52.73% de los nuevos diagnosticados con VIH se encontraba en el grupo entre 20 a 34 a\u00f1os; el 0,72% era menor de 5 a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El 71.36% de los nuevos diagn\u00f3sticos en el 2022 fueron hombres.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La mayor frecuencia de diagn\u00f3sticos se observa en el grupo de edad de 25 a 34 a\u00f1os y en las personas con edades igual o mayor a 50 a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Durante el 2022, la media mensual de nuevos diagn\u00f3sticos fue de 127 personas con VIH, con un m\u00ednimo de 81 en el mes de enero y un m\u00e1ximo de 170 en el mes de setiembre. En tanto que, entre los meses de junio y noviembre se report\u00f3 la mayor cifra de nuevos diagn\u00f3sticos de la infecci\u00f3n por el VIH en el pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Tasa<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La tasa de nuevos diagn\u00f3sticos de VIH presenta una tendencia creciente en personas de 15 a 19 a\u00f1os y 20 a 24 a\u00f1os, desde el 2013 hasta el 2019, con un incremento de 11.73 a 14.10 y de 34.83 a 43.79 por cada 100.000 habitantes respectivamente.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En el 2020 se not\u00f3 una disminuci\u00f3n en la tasa de nuevos diagnosticados por el VIH en ambos grupos de edades, observ\u00e1ndose un leve aumento desde el 2021 al 2022. Mientras que la tasa de nuevos diagn\u00f3sticos de VIH en los menores de 5 a\u00f1os presenta una tendencia estable en los \u00faltimos 5 a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>VIH en embarazadas<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Del total de mujeres diagnosticadas con VIH en el 2022 (de 12 a 51 a\u00f1os), el 29,04% estaba embarazada.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La mayor\u00eda de las embarazadas diagnosticadas con el virus de inmunodeficiencia humana en ese a\u00f1o se encontraba entre los 25 y 34 a\u00f1os, el mayor porcentaje eran procedentes de Central, Alto Paran\u00e1 y Amambay.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Tratamiento antirretroviral<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Unas 11.891 personas est\u00e1n con tratamiento antirretroviral, de las cuales, 8654 se localizan en Asunci\u00f3n, 948 en Alto Paran\u00e1, 727 en Central y 402 en Itap\u00faa.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Mortalidad<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En el 2022, se contabilizaron 112 personas fallecidas con VIH: 87 hombres y 25 mujeres.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La tasa de mortalidad acumulada en el pa\u00eds es de 4,72.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Datos acumulados pa\u00eds<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Desde el inicio de la epidemia en Paraguay, en 1985 hasta el 2022 suman 26.569 las personas diagnosticadas con VIH, de las cuales, 9.413 fallecieron. Actualmente, 17.156 son las personas que viven con VIH.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Situaci\u00f3n mundial<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En 2021, los grupos de poblaci\u00f3n clave (trabajadores\/as sexuales y sus clientes, hombres que tienen relaciones sexuales con hombres, personas que se inyectan drogas, personas transg\u00e9nero) y sus parejas sexuales representaron el 70% de las nuevas infecciones por VIH a nivel mundial.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>El riesgo de contraer el VIH es:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">38 veces mayor para trabajadores\/as sexuales.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">29 veces mayor entre las personas que se inyectan drogas.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">28 veces mayor entre los hombres que tienen relaciones sexuales con hombres.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">22 veces mayor para las mujeres transg\u00e9nero.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cada semana, alrededor de 4.900 mujeres j\u00f3venes de entre 15 y 24 a\u00f1os contraen la infecci\u00f3n por el VIH.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Asunci\u00f3n, Agencia IP.- En los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os, en el pa\u00eds se observa un progresivo incremento de nuevos casos de la infecci\u00f3n por el virus de inmunodeficiencia humana (VIH).
