Asunci\u00f3n, Agencia IP.-<\/em><\/strong> Paraguay adjusts the details in the face of a \u201cquite loaded agenda\u201d at the international environment-related level, according to Minister Rolando de Barrios, who was received during an audience by the President of the Republic, Santiago Pe\u00f1a, in Mburuvicha R\u00f3ga.<\/p>\n

When finalizing the meeting, the Minister of the Environment and Sustainable Development (Mades, by its acronym in Spanish), Rolando de Barrios, said they spoke about the environment and renewal, alternative and clean energy.<\/p>\n

De Barros recognized that the concept of sustainable development is vast and that Paraguay has excellent potential. \u201cThe production systems that we are working on are in balance and perfectly converge with our development systems\u201d, he highlighted.<\/p>\n

Likewise, Pe\u00f1a and De Barros analyzed the actions that benefit the environment and are being promoted by the Government, positioning itself as one of the leaders in global sustainability matters, he stated this Wednesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the United Nations, the intervention of the President had a great repercussion, showcasing one of the country’s greatest assets consisting of its natural resources,\u201d he expanded.<\/p>\n

International agenda<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Minister claimed they are preparing for a \u201cquite a loaded agenda\u201d internationally. This month, De Barros will accompany the President to Washington, United States (from October 22 to 25) to participate in events relating to the environment.<\/p>\n

Paraguay will also actively participate in the 28th<\/sup> Session of the Conference of Parts, the COP28, that will take place in the United Arab Emirates from November 30 to December 12.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will show the concrete results based on an innovative proposal that is taking place in the history of our country regarding the environment, that is the Credit Carbon Law, which is currently being dealt with in the Chamber of Deputies,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n

Regarding the Bill, he considered that it holds excellent acceptance and that, even if it is a complex proposal, it will benefit the arborization of natural resources, give them real value so that they can be conserved, and generate extra income for the country.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll this will allow us to preserve natural resources for future generations; that is what the President wants.
