Asunci\u00f3n, Agencia IP.-<\/strong><\/em> With an investment of US$ 278,455 by the National Sports Secretariat (SND), holding the XIV Junior Padel World Cup in our country left an economic impact estimated at US$ 1,440,000 by the National Tourism Secretariat (Senatur).<\/p>\n

The event, held from November 13 to 18, brought 354 athletes from all over the world. Added to their delegations, they benefited our country’s tourism, hotels, and gastronomy sectors.<\/p>\n

The event’s organization was highlighted by the President of the International Padel Federation (FIP), Luigi Carraro, having been the most prolific competition in terms of participation, with representatives from 15 countries for the men’s competitions and 16 for the women’s.<\/p>\n

\u00abI say it with immense pride: this Junior World Championship has been unique, incredible, beautiful, and the number of participating athletes and nations present attest to this,\u00bb commented the President of the FIP at the close of the tournament.<\/p>\n

The competitions were broadcast via streaming, with 510 matches played on SND and La Quinta Sports. On YouTube, the SND and FIP channels had over 270,000 views.<\/p>\n

Event organization<\/strong><\/p>\n

More than 100 staff members have participated in the organization. Likewise, the National Police and the Municipal Traffic Police of Asunci\u00f3n have provided the event with more than 100 security personnel who took care of the transfer of the delegations and the development of matches in each sporting scenario.<\/p>\n

Regarding general services, the organization has announced that 7,180 plates of food were served to the participants. A total of 4,200 beds have been occupied in hotels in the Capital. Likewise, 18,000 bottles of water have been given, and 30 medical cases have been attended to during the days.<\/p>\n

\u00abThe World Cup has been very well organized by FEPARPA and the local Government, which have been attentive to everything. They have done a great job that has changed the perception of 2018, and it had nothing to do with it.
