Duala.-<\/strong><\/em>El Papa Le\u00f3n XIV, mantiene el tono de denuncia en sus mensajes durante la gira por Africa. \u00abEl mundo est\u00e1 siendo asolado por un pu\u00f1ado de tiranos\u00bb, afirm\u00f3 en Camer\u00fan, en una misa ante 120 mil personas.<\/p>\n

Seg\u00fan el Vaticano, unos 120.000 fieles asistieron a la misa del Papa Le\u00f3n XIV el viernes en Duala, una cifra muy inferior a la estimaci\u00f3n del gobierno camerun\u00e9s de un mill\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

En Duala, la capital econ\u00f3mica de Camer\u00fan, los fieles esperaron durante horas bajo un calor sofocante a que el jefe de la Iglesia Cat\u00f3lica celebrara la misa; muchos vest\u00edan prendas con su imagen.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a1Viva el Papa!\u00bb, coreaba la multitud jubilosa cuando el pont\u00edfice estadounidense lleg\u00f3 en el papam\u00f3vil a la explanada del estadio Japoma, ondeando \u00abramas de la paz\u00bb y banderas del Vaticano mientras el coro cantaba alegres himnos polif\u00f3nicos acompa\u00f1ados de percusi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

En su homil\u00eda, pronunciada en franc\u00e9s, el Papa exhort\u00f3 a los cameruneses a ser \u00abagentes del futuro\u00bb y a \u00abrechazar toda forma de abuso y violencia\u00bb.<\/p>\n

\u00abEl mundo tiene hambre de paz y se necesitan gestos de perd\u00f3n para curarlo\u00bb, afirm\u00f3 el Pont\u00edfice.<\/p>\n

Desde su llegada el mi\u00e9rcoles, los discursos de Le\u00f3n XIV se han caracterizado por un fuerte mensaje social: el jueves, denunci\u00f3 \u00abel da\u00f1o causado desde fuera por aquellos que, en nombre del lucro, siguen apoder\u00e1ndose del continente africano para explotarlo y saquearlo\u00bb.<\/p>\n

\u00abEl mundo est\u00e1 siendo asolado por un pu\u00f1ado de tiranos, \u00a1pero se mantiene unido por una multitud de hermanos y hermanas en solidaridad!\u00bb, enfatiz\u00f3 el Papa en Bamenda, capital de la regi\u00f3n noroeste de habla inglesa, sumida en un conflicto entre las fuerzas gubernamentales y grupos separatistas armados.<\/p>\n

Ante las autoridades, entre las que destaca Paul Biya, de 93 a\u00f1os, en el poder desde 1982 y recientemente reelegido para un octavo mandato, el Papa pronunci\u00f3 un discurso notablemente firme, en el que hizo un llamamiento especial a \u00abromper las cadenas de la corrupci\u00f3n\u00bb\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Tras la misa, el Papa visit\u00f3 el Hospital Cat\u00f3lico de San Pablo en Douala y regres\u00f3 a Yaund\u00e9, donde se dirigir\u00e1 a la comunidad acad\u00e9mica.<\/p>\n

La gira por Camer\u00fan concluir\u00e1 con una misa el s\u00e1bado por la ma\u00f1ana.<\/p>\n

Antes de Camer\u00fan, el l\u00edder de los 1.400 millones de cat\u00f3licos del mundo realiz\u00f3 una visita hist\u00f3rica a Argelia.<\/p>\n
