{"id":578572,"date":"2026-04-22T10:40:07","date_gmt":"2026-04-22T13:40:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ip.gov.py\/ip\/?p=578572"},"modified":"2026-04-22T10:40:07","modified_gmt":"2026-04-22T13:40:07","slug":"fao-highlights-the-governments-presentation-of-bill-to-eliminate-barriers-to-land-access-in-paraguay","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ip.gov.py\/ip\/2026\/04\/22\/fao-highlights-the-governments-presentation-of-bill-to-eliminate-barriers-to-land-access-in-paraguay\/","title":{"rendered":"FAO highlights the government&#8217;s presentation of bill to eliminate barriers to land access in Paraguay"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><strong>Asunci\u00f3n, Agencia IP.-<\/strong> <\/em>The Head of the National Institute for Rural and Land Development (Indert), Francisco Ru\u00edz D\u00edaz, was officially invited by the representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Paraguay, Iv\u00e1n Felipe Le\u00f3n, to share Paraguay&#8217;s successful experience in land titling at FAO headquarters in Rome, Italy.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The FAO highlighted the presentation of the bill to suspend the initial payment for land titling in Paraguay for one year, expressing its satisfaction with the bill, which addresses a challenge faced throughout Latin America: overcoming administrative requirements that hinder the expansion of land titling.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The international organization endorsed the Indert plan, which promotes access to land for farming families in general, and specifically for rural women.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">By reducing and simplifying administrative procedures and costs, the possibilities for farming families to access their right to land are increased.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Land tenure breaks the cycle of poverty because it enables people to obtain credit, other financing mechanisms, and services.
