Asimismo, a trav\u00e9s del Programa PROCIENCIA con apoyo del Fondo para la Excelencia de la Educaci\u00f3n y la Investigaci\u00f3n (FEEI).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La base de datos recopila de manera sistem\u00e1tica y mediante curaci\u00f3n manual, informaci\u00f3n obtenida de publicaciones cient\u00edficas entre 2005 y 2025. Incluye secuencias pept\u00eddicas compuestas exclusivamente por amino\u00e1cidos est\u00e1ndar, junto con datos sobre los virus a los que se dirigen, sus mecanismos de acci\u00f3n, metodolog\u00edas de dise\u00f1o, condiciones experimentales y referencias bibliogr\u00e1ficas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Los arbovirus representan un importante desaf\u00edo para la salud p\u00fablica, especialmente en regiones tropicales y subtropicales.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En ese contexto, dispone de informaci\u00f3n organizada y validada que permite acelerar la identificaci\u00f3n de nuevos candidatos terap\u00e9uticos y fortalecer la investigaci\u00f3n en enfermedades virales de alta incidencia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Adem\u00e1s de servir como fuente de consulta para investigadores, este conjunto de datos fue dise\u00f1ado para el entrenamiento y validaci\u00f3n de modelos de aprendizaje autom\u00e1tico, capaces de predecir nuevos p\u00e9ptidos con actividad antiviral.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Su estructura estandarizada tambi\u00e9n favorece el desarrollo de herramientas computacionales aplicadas al descubrimiento de f\u00e1rmacos, bioinform\u00e1tica y biolog\u00eda computacional.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Un aspecto destacado del trabajo es que cerca de la mitad de los p\u00e9ptidos, peque\u00f1as cadenas de amino\u00e1cidos que participan en numerosos procesos biol\u00f3gicos, recopilados no se encuentran registrados en las principales bases de datos internacionales de p\u00e9ptidos antimicrobianos y antivirales, que convierte a este recurso en una valiosa referencia para futuras investigaciones sobre arbovirus.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El estudio fue desarrollado por V\u00edctor Mart\u00ednez, V\u00edctor Hermosilla Mechetti, Diego Pinto Roa, Christian Schaerer y Jos\u00e9 Colbes, del N\u00facleo de Investigaci\u00f3n y Desarrollo Tecnol\u00f3gico de la Facultad Polit\u00e9cnica de la Universidad Nacional de Asunci\u00f3n (FP-UNA).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tambi\u00e9n participaron Helena G\u00f3mez Adorno, del Instituto de Investigaci\u00f3n en Matem\u00e1ticas Aplicadas y en Sistemas de la Universidad Nacional Aut\u00f3noma de M\u00e9xico (UNAM), y Santiago Di Lella, del Departamento de Qu\u00edmica Biol\u00f3gica e IQUIBICEN-CONICET de la Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Asunci\u00f3n, Agencia IP.- El art\u00edculo cient\u00edfico \u00abDataset of manually curated peptides against arthropod-borne viruses\u00bb, que presenta una base de datos de acceso abierto con informaci\u00f3n de 270 p\u00e9ptidos con actividad reportada contra arbovirus, fue publicado en la revista cient\u00edfica Data in Brief (Q1), por investigadores de la Facultad Polit\u00e9cnica de la Universidad Nacional de Asunci\u00f3n [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":42,"featured_media":588739,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_monsterinsights_skip_tracking":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_active":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_note":"","_monsterinsights_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[2987],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-588736","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-salud"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.0 -
