Paraguay aims to increase its presence in the Asian market with sugar exports

Asunción, Agencia IP.- The Ministry of Industry and Commerce reports that the Commercial Attaché of Rediex, led by Macarena Barboza, and the Embassy of the Republic of Paraguay in Taiwan have identified opportunities to increase the export of refined sugar to the Asian market.

This strategy is part of an ongoing effort to boost the presence of Paraguayan products abroad. Those interested in obtaining more information about this opportunity can email the commercial attaché at mbarboza.rediex@gmail.com.

Paraguay’s offering stands out not only for the quality of its sugar as a raw material for beverages and food but also for the country’s ability to meet the demands of demanding markets such as Taiwan. This initiative strengthens trade ties between Paraguay and Taiwan, generating new growth opportunities for both economies.

Interest in exporting this product emerged from an exhaustive analysis of the Taiwanese market, which included studies on demand and consumption trends and meetings with local importers and distributors to better understand their needs and preferences.

The Commercial Attaché received support from trade chambers, importers, distributors, and various public institutions such as the TAITRA (Taiwan External Trade Development Council), the Importers and Exporters Association of Taipei (IEAT), and Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs.

In addition to this product, the Commercial Attaché highlighted the growing demand in Taiwan for organic and healthy products, representing an additional market niche for Paraguayan products with these characteristics.
