Paraguay is one of the countries with the best electoral practices worldwide, according to the Association of World Election Bodies

Asunción, Agencia IP.- In the context of the extraordinary meeting of the 6th General Assembly of the Association of World Election Bodies (A-WEB), Paraguay’s Electoral Justice was recognized for its outstanding performance and innovation in electoral processes. Minister Jorge Enrique Bogarín González, a member of the Superior Tribunal of Electoral Justice (TSJE), received the award.

«It is a satisfaction for us to receive this award, which will greatly help us strengthen democracy in our country and the region,» said Minister Bogarín González during the ceremony.

According to the TSJE, the A-WEB gathered electoral representatives from 15 countries across various continents and awarded Paraguay for its electoral work during the election processes.

The event was held in Bogotá, Colombia, which took over the presidency of A-WEB. In addition to Paraguay, the electoral bodies of Peru, Turkey, Taiwan, and Hungary were also recognized.

With this distinction, Paraguay’s Electoral Justice, as Promoters of Democracy, will continue to work with the same commitment to organize, direct, and supervise transparent and democratic electoral processes, ensuring the participation of all sectors of society.
