Asunción, Agencia IP.- The President of the Republic, Santiago Peña, met with representatives of the German racing team AIX Racing Team, national business leaders, and driver Joshua Duerksen, whom the government is supporting to continue bringing pride to Paraguay.
«At this meeting, we had participation from companies in the service sector, as well as financial services and various industries,» stated Presidential Spokesperson Paula Carro after the meeting, which took place on Tuesday at Mburuvicha Róga.
In this context, Rediex Deputy Minister Rodrigo Maluff emphasized that Joshua Duerksen is one of the ambassadors of the «country brand,» highlighting the need to increase efforts to give him greater visibility and facilitate connections with more companies to support his professional racing career.
«We believe that by sharing the experiences and platform of these brands with other national entrepreneurs, we can generate greater traction and foster hope that one day we’ll see Joshua in Formula 1,» he detailed.
Duerksen commented that motorsport is a highly costly sport, making sponsor support essential to cover his participation in F2.
«We are exploring opportunities to leverage the country brand further. Being a country brand ambassador and representing my country worldwide is an honor. I’m pleased with how things are going in Formula 2, with two podiums and a victory,» he shared.
He mentioned that two more competitions are scheduled in Qatar and Abu Dhabi between November and December, and he is preparing to give his best at these events.
«I want to show the world what Paraguayans are capable of and to inspire young people, letting them know that anything is possible with hard work, dedication, sacrifice, and, above all, big dreams,» he concluded.
