Asunción, Agencia IP.- The President of the Republic, Santiago Peña, will make an official visit to Finland from July 29 to August 1, 2025.
During this visit, diplomatic relations will be strengthened, and cooperation will be made in areas that will directly benefit Paraguayan citizens, such as the implementation of sustainable technologies, the improvement of the education system, and the development of sustainable forestry practices.
The President of the Republic of Finland, Alexander Stubb, will host the visit.
In this context, on Wednesday, July 30, Alexander Stubb and Santiago Peña will meet at the Presidential Palace to discuss bilateral relations between Finland and Paraguay, as well as address topics such as security policy in Europe and Latin America, global challenges, and support for the multilateral system.
Additionally, Paraguay’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rubén Ramírez Lezcano, will meet with Finland’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Elina Vattonen, during the visit.
President Peña’s agenda will also include official and business meetings with representatives from the bio-product, energy, and forestry sectors, among others.
Through this visit, the Government seeks not only to strengthen its diplomatic ties with Finland but also to position Paraguay as an attractive destination for investment and innovation projects, generating opportunities that will ultimately improve the quality of life for both Paraguayans and Finns, according to a statement released by the Presidency.
