Asunción, Agencia IP.- The National Directorate of Migration (DNM) announced new sessions of the Migramóvil program in Ciudad del Este and Pedro Juan Caballero, with the goal of bringing immigration services closer to foreign citizens residing in border areas of the country.
The next sessions will take place from May 18 to 22 at the Mangoré Cultural Center in Ciudad del Este; from June 1 to 5 at the Amambay Governorate in Pedro Juan Caballero; and again in Ciudad del Este from June 29 to July 3.
The institution also reported that it will implement a new appointment system to improve service, following the high turnout at previous sessions. In this regard, 250 appointments will be distributed per day, in person, and are valid only for the date of issue.
Among the available services are applications for temporary and permanent residency, renewals and replacements of identity cards, residency certificates, extensions of stay, and proof of migration movements, among others.
The Immigration Department reminded users to verify the requirements and fees for each procedure beforehand to expedite the process. This information is available here.
During the event, the National Police’s IT and Interpol departments will also be present to issue background check certificates required for immigration procedures. Additionally, institutions such as the Secretariat for Repatriates and the National Refugee Commission (CONARE) will be participating.
The MigraMóvil program aims to decentralize and streamline immigration services in areas with high concentrations of immigrants or limited access to immigration offices.
