The Paraguayan government advances a communication strategy for transportation reform with a focus on commuter rail

Asunción, Agencia IP.- The Paraguayan government continues to advance in planning the communication strategy for the Great Transportation Reform, with special emphasis on the Commuter Rail project, considered one of the most emblematic initiatives for transforming mobility in the metropolitan area.

In this context, the Vice Minister of Communication, Alejandra Duarte, led an inter-institutional coordination meeting held at the Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies (MITIC), with the participation of Executive branch authorities and representatives of institutions involved in the project.

Attendees included Rodrigo Maluff and Laura Rolón, ministers of the Civil Cabinet of the Presidency of the Republic; Facundo Salinas, president of Ferrocarriles del Paraguay S.A. (FEPASA); and Amílcar Guillén, Director of Strategic Projects at the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC).

During the meeting, actions to consolidate clear, coordinated, and close communication with the public were discussed, with the goal of supporting the project’s development and providing timely information on its progress, benefits, and social impact.

The institutions emphasized the importance of strengthening public awareness for a project that aims to drive significant change in the public transportation system, promoting more modern, efficient, and sustainable mobility for thousands of users.

The Commuter Rail project is being promoted as a strategic initiative to improve connectivity across the metropolitan area, reduce travel times, and boost economic and social development.

The government indicated that inter-institutional collaboration will enable the consolidation of a communication strategy that brings the project closer to the public and contributes to the comprehensive reform of the country’s transportation system.
