Peña and the Amazon founder spoke about sustainable development challenges

Asunción, Agencia IP.- Following his agenda in Washington, the Head of State, Santiago Peña, dialogued with the Executive President of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, about the most significant global challenges and the actions that the country will impulse to contribute to sustainable development.

The President developed a tight agenda of activities in Washington that included meetings with senators and representatives of the US government.

Afterward, Peña represented our country in the event “Latin America and the Caribbean Forecast,” organized by the United States Chamber of Commerce.

On the occasion, the President highlighted the importance of increasing relations between Paraguay and the US political system, aiming to make known the relevance of our country in its values, defense, and strategic position.

Then, the President maintained an encounter with General Laura Richardson, Commander of the South Command of the United States, with whom he spoke about the challenges of security regionally.

Likewise, President Peña reunited with executives of Google, where he was accompanied by the Minister of the Ministry of Technologies of Information and Communications (Mitic, by its acronym in Spanish), Gustavo Villate.

“We talked about the importance of strengthening the technological infrastructure for the growth and development of Paraguay,” informed Peña through his social media X.

On the other hand, Santiago Peña met with the Executive President of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, at the gala of the International Conservation Caucus Foundation (ICCF). With the CEO of the internet sales giant, he exchanged views on significant global actions and what actions the country will promote to contribute to sustainable development.

“Paraguay is called to be a protagonist, and that is what we aim for as a country,” said the Head of the Executive Branch also through the social platform X.
